Grant Rules & Application
1. Eligibility Requirements
- Only teachers or contractors currently employed by Pike Road Schools are eligible to apply for grants.
- Applicants must be directly involved with or responsible for a program that meets the grant’s purpose.
- Grants must be used exclusively for expenses associated with an arts or athletics program within Pike Road Schools.
2. Funding Availability and Allocation
- Grant funding is based on the total amount of money raised during the annual crawfish boil fundraiser.
- The funds will be split on a 50/50 basis between arts programs and athletics programs, ensuring both areas benefit equally.
3. Grant Evaluation Criteria
- The board members of the Pike Road Patriot Fund will review applications.
- Priority will be given based on:
- Demonstrated need for the funding.
- Alignment with the purpose of supporting arts or athletics.
- Organizations involved in the fundraising activities of the Pike Road Patriot Fund and its annual Crawfish Boil will receive priority.
- Adherence to the 50/50 funding allocation.
4. Application Process
- All applications must be submitted through the designated application form before the announced deadline.
- Supporting documentation showing how the grant will be used is required as part of the submission.
5. Decision Process
- The board of the Pike Road Patriot Fund will conduct a thorough review of all applications.
- Decisions will be made by the board, and applicants will be notified of their status within a reasonable timeframe.
- The board’s decisions are final and based on the availability of funds and the merit of the application.
6. Reporting and Accountability
- Recipients must provide a follow-up report detailing how the funds were utilized within a set period (to be specified by the board).
- If funds are not used in accordance with the approved grant proposal, the board reserves the right to request a reimbursement of the awarded amount.
