The town of Pike Road is preparing to “let the good times roll” once again for a cause. The Pike Road Patriot Fund is proud to announce the 14th Annual Pike Road Crawfish Boil, held on the first Saturday in May (May 2, 2026). This signature community event brings the heart of Louisiana to Alabama, all to benefit the arts and athletics programs at Pike Road Schools.
Leading the charge is the event’s official mascot, Carl the Crawfish. Rescued fifteen years ago by event organizer Richard White, Carl has become a local celebrity. Known for his smooth-talking Cajun charm and signature red VW Beetle, Carl returns to Pike Road each year to advocate for students and remind neighbors that while thousands of pounds of his “cousins” may be on the menu, he is strictly there to party for a cause.
“The Crawfish Boil is more than just a meal; it’s a huddle for our community,” says Richard White. “Every ticket sold directly impacts our student athletes and artists. We’re proud to reach our 14th year of bringing families together to support the Pike Road Patriot Fund.”
